The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weir lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Diaz jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Diaz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Weir moves away.
Weir misses with a left hand
and Weir takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Diaz misses with an uppercut

and Weir counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Weir is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Diaz keeping moving, preventing Weir from controlling successfully.
Weir is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Diaz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Weir doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Diaz is tightening it up a little... Weir has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight!
