Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marjorie Dawes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Steller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steller has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Ben Steller enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steller tries to close the distance and clinch but Dawes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dawes tries for a takedown but Steller sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dawes needs to keep his hands up - Steller had a free shot at his head there.
Dawes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dawes fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marjorie Dawes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steller shoots in for a takedown but Dawes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Steller changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dawes tries to avoid it but Steller manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dawes to the ground. Dawes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Steller can do anything to dispel that myth.

Steller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dawes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dawes is looking to take a break and control but Steller is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dawes quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Dawes but it's paid off an Steller is forced to tap! Nice work by Dawes.
