Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeff Monsoon!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monsoon throws a head kick that misses.
Monsoon throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Monsoon has a takedown stuffed.

Long has Monsoon up against the cage in a clinch.
Long lands a nice knee to the body.
Long dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Long escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Monsoon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Long takes the fight into the clinch.
Long throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Monsoon looks gassed!

Long lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

It looks like Jeff Monsoon has been cut.
Long scores a nice knee to the body.

Long decides to pull guard.
Long is trying to control the position but Monsoon postures up.

Long looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Long is on top in guard.
Long wanted to stand there but Monsoon had control of the position.

Long cracks Monsoon with a solid left hand.
Long postures up and lands a big shot to Monsoon's brow.

Long drops back looking for a leg! Monsoon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Monsoon manages to kick Long off! Long jumps back into Monsoon's guard.

Long thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Monsoon wants to sweep here but Long controlling him for the moment.

Monsoon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Long can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Long drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Long jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Long has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Long trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Monsoon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Long doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Long manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Monsoon manages to work his way to half guard, despite Long's best efforts.
Long working the head and body with strikes.

Monsoon is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Long's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Long! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Monsoon has tapped! This one is allllll over!
