Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jay Boy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Bigcutt!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bigcutt tries to clinch there but Boy circles away.
Bigcutt is trying hard to land a takedown here. Boy sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
An attempted straight right counter from Boy misses the target.
Bigcutt tries to land a front kick but Boy steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Boy throws a big counter combination but Bigcutt scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Boy could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Bigcutt throws a low kick, looking for Boy's leg but Boy calmly moves out of range.
Boy paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Boy throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bigcutt.
Boy circles away from the clinch attempt.
Boy swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Bigcutt misses with an attempted mid kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boy lands a nice shot to the body.
Bigcutt misses with a takedown
and Boy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bigcutt shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Boy sprawls well. Boy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bigcutt gets slowly back to his feet.
It looked like Boy was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Jay Boy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Bigcutt.
Boy feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bigcutt's calf.
Boy lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Jay Boy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boy uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bigcutt has time to react.
Bigcutt takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Boy scores with a nice head shot.
Bigcutt throws a leg kick but Boy sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Boy connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bigcutt. Bigcutt circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Bigcutt tries to clinch up but Boy circles away and keeps his distance.
Boy looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Bigcutt looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bigcutt won't allow Boy to sweep him here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bigcutt stops Boy from standing up.
Bigcutt's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Bigcutt passes Boy's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bigcutt lands a nice short elbow.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bigcutt scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Boy tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Bigcutt manages to move to mount!
Bigcutt tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Boy on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Boy tries to get out of the position.
Bigcutt landing punches.
Bigcutt cracks Boy with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Boy wants to control but Bigcutt is having none of it.
Bigcutt has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Bigcutt has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Boy is forced to tap!
