PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Fistface (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desmond Hume (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Matt Fistface has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Matt Fistface seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 28 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Desmond Hume!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Ben Hemmingworth and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hume moves into range and clinches up with Fistface.
Hume using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Fistface has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Hume tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Fistface lands a hook that snaps the head of Hume backwards.

Fistface escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fistface moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Desmond Hume has been cut.
Hume tries to close the distance and clinch but Fistface swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Fistface moves out of range of the strikes.
A telegraphed right hand from Fistface misses the target.
Hume wants to clinch up but Fistface keeps it at a distance.
Hume throws a head kick that half lands.

Hume has taken the fight to the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fistface breaks the clinch.
A jab from Fistface finds it's way through Hume's defenses.
Matt Fistface seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hume scores with a head kick.

It looks like Matt Fistface has been cut.
Fistface looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hume displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fistface throws out the jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Fistface bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Hume! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Fistface gets to his feet. Hume looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Hume, right into the meat.
Hume tries to close the distance and clinch but Fistface swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Fistface lands a big head kick that sends Hume to the canvas! Fistface follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
