Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mateusz Dark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwayne Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Peterson looking to score a takedown here. Dark is defending well but Peterson drives through and ends up in Dark's guard.

Dark kicks Peterson off and gets to his feet.
Mateusz Dark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dark gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Peterson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Peterson won't allow Dark to get back to his feet.
Peterson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dark swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Peterson passes into half guard.
Peterson content to control rather than advance.

Peterson is pressing down on Dark's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dark is holding on for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Peterson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Dark throws a nice looking combination but Peterson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Horrible takedown attempt by Peterson or perhaps it was just good defense by Dark, which made it look bad.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Dark sizes up Peterson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Dark scores with a decent looking hook.
Peterson fails with a takedown attempt.
As Peterson looks to move away, Dark throws a big counter combo bu Peterson just gets out of the way.
Dark finds Peterson's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Peterson flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Dark lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Peterson will be OK.
