Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jax Marciano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jordan Golevkin!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Golevkin tries to bum rush Marciano with a series of wild strikes but Marciano uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Marciano scores with a kick to the midsection.
Marciano defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Golevkin.
Marciano closes the distance and clinches.
Marciano is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Golevkin is defending well.
Marciano escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Marciano fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Golevkin, pushing him back against the cage.
Golevkin fails to pull guard.
Marciano ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Marciano no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marciano is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marciano is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Marciano pulls Golevkin into guard.

Golevkin tries to stand but Marciano is controlling from the bottom.
Marciano looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Golevkin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Marciano is proving hard to escape from.

Marciano is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Golevkin wants to get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Marciano perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Golevkin wants to control but Marciano is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Golevkin wants to get back to his feet.
Golevkin has one foot on Marciano's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Golevkin lands a left and a right that send Marciano crashing to the mat, dazed. Golevkin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Marciano is rocked!
It looks like Jax Marciano has been cut.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Golevkin is defended easily by Marciano.
Jax Marciano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jordan Golevkin.
Marciano fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Marciano looks for a takedown but Golevkin sprawls well.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Golevkin lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Marciano goes down and covers up as Golevkin starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
