The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Campbell fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
As Campbell backs off Lazer throws a huge counter combo but Campbell manages to avoid it all.
Campbell looks to land a combination but Lazer avoids it well.

Horrible takedown attempt by Lazer or perhaps it was just good defense by Campbell, which made it look bad.
Campbell throws a series of punches but Lazer avoids them all with ease.

so Lazer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Campbell looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lazer is one step ahead there.
Lazer working some strikes from top position.
Lazer postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Lazer content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Campbell is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Lazer connects with a couple of short punches.

Lazer is in close to Campbell's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Campbell is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Campbell manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lazer manages to get himself to full guard.

Campbell is rocked!
Lazer gets to his feet and stands over Campbell, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Campbell felt that one! Lazer unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Campbell from any more punishment!

Major Lazer opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
