PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aidan Harrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ligerito Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harrison comes to the cage accompanied by Crossed - So much pain. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aidan Harrison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ligerito Jr!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrison misses with a body kick.
Jr lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Jr throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Harrison's waist but Harrison gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jr off to one side.
Jr sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Harrison scores with a hook to the body. Jr takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Jr manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Harrison on his heels. He'll look to pass Harrison's guard now, I'm sure.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jr's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jr's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Harrison connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jr scrambles back to his feet.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

It looks like Ligerito Jr has been cut.
Ligerito Jr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jr looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Jr is still on wobbly legs! Can Harrison finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!

Aidan Harrison has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jr seems to have recovered his senses.
Harrison lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Jr backs up against the cage.
Harrison lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Jr takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Ligerito Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jr shoots for a double leg takedown but Harrison sprawls well. He's pushed Jr's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ligerito Jr is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

I think Jr has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
