The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ebonivic manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Abdalla on his heels. He'll look to pass Abdalla's guard now, I'm sure.
Abdalla is trying to keep Ebonivic in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Abdalla swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Ebonivic throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Abdalla tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ebonivic is in Abdalla's guard.

Ebonivic wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Abdalla's closed guard. He's half up but Abdalla has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Abdalla pivots and extends the arm, Ebonivic falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Abdalla! Well done that man!
