The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Andre pulls guard.

Andre has his foot on Nurmagemedov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nurmagemedov works his way back into a safe position though.

Andre tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nurmagemedov defends well and Andre ends up having to push Nurmagemedov into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Andre fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nurmagemedov avoids it really well and circles away.

Nice takedown defense from Nurmagemedov. No joy for Andre on that attempt.
Horrible takedown attempt by Andre or perhaps it was just good defense by Nurmagemedov, which made it look bad.

Andre fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nurmagemedov manages to avoid it.
Nurmagemedov appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Nurmagemedov shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Andre napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Nurmagemedov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Andre has escaped the position, nice work there.
My spies in LOD: Xtreme MMA inform me that Nurmagemedov has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Andre regains half guard.

Andre seems to have got his legs back now.
