Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Markie Ray Marc Victor!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marc Victor looks to land a combination but Weeks avoids it well.
As Marc Victor looks to move away, Weeks throws a big counter combo bu Marc Victor just gets out of the way.
Marc Victor looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Weeks lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Weeks looks to land a combination but Marc Victor avoids it well.
Marc Victor drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Weeks defends it well.

Marc Victor scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Weeks manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Marc Victor keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Weeks turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Weeks manages to end up in side control.
Marc Victor takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Weeks working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Weeks stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Weeks drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Marc Victor wants to get back to his feet but Weeks passes into half guard.
Weeks could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Weeks throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Weeks lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Nice strikes from Weeks there.
Weeks working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Weeks thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Marc Victor's head.
Weeks seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Weeks stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Marc Victor to get to his feet.

Weeks cracks Marc Victor with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Weeks throws a hook to the side of Marc Victor's head but Marc Victor sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Weeks throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Weeks misses with a two punch combination.
Marc Victor moves forwards but Weeks connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Weeks throws a one two combo.
Weeks throws a series of punches but Marc Victor avoids them all with ease.
Marc Victor doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Weeks misses with a looping left.
Weeks thows a left - swing and a miss!

Weeks throws a right hand that Marc Victor ducks under and follows up with a left that Marc Victor also avoids with ease.
Marc Victor avoids a punch combination nicely.
Weeks throws an overhand right that lands on Marc Victor's shoulder, as Marc Victor tries to avoid the shot.

Marc Victor rushes Weeks and presses him up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Weeks breaks the clinch.

Marc Victor gets tackled into the cage by Weeks. Weeks maintains the clinch.

Weeks is trying to trip Marc Victor. He has hold of a leg but Marc Victor is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Weeks persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Marc Victor is looking to sweep but instead, Weeks has passed into half guard.
Marc Victor wants to control but Weeks is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Freddie Weeks dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Weeks misses with a hook.
Weeks will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Marc Victor with the counter takedown but Weeks avoids it easily.
Marc Victor moves out of range of the strikes.

Weeks fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Marc Victor sprawls well initially but Weeks persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Marc Victor is looking to get back to is feet but Weeks passes into side control.
Weeks remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marc Victor takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Marc Victor is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Weeks connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Marc Victor some visible discomfort.

Weeks wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Marc Victor, who protects the arm well.
Weeks lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Marc Victor down.
Marc Victor is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Weeks is chipping away with strikes.

Weeks is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Marc Victor has escaped the position, nice work there.
Weeks lands a decent elbow from side control.
Weeks cracks Marc Victor with a big right hand but Marc Victor just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Weeks in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Marc Victor is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
