Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Linwood Macias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Orvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Linwood Macias has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Linwood Macias!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Robert Orvin!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orvin tries to clinch up.
Orvin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Orvin moves into range and clinches up with Macias.

Macias's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Orvin closes the distance looking to clinch
and Macias counters with a straight right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Orvin throws a shot to the body.
Orvin looks for a takedown but Macias sprawls well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Orvin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Macias tries to avoid it but Orvin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Macias to the ground. Macias escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Linwood Macias has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Orvin.
Orvin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Macias but Macias pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Macias swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Macias darts in looking for a takedown but Orvin gets double underhooks and turns Macias into the cage.
Orvin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Macias.

Macias drives through with a takedown into guard.
Macias would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Macias thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Orvin looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Macias has gone for a leg lock! Orvin slips out almost immediately though and dives into Macias's guard.

Macias is pulling down on Orvin's head. It's preventing any offense from Orvin, at least for the moment.

Orvin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Macias's head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Macias looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Orvin is looking for a kimura but Macias is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Orvin to get the leverage.
Macias might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Orvin wants to stand up but Macias has a hold of him and won't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Orvin perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Macias trying to control from the bottom.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Orvin is trying to control. Macias wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Orvin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Orvin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Orvin fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Robert Orvin will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Macias swats away the attempt to clinch by Orvin.
Orvin throws a sloppy head kick and Macias moves out of range easily.
Macias drops down looking for a counter takedown but Orvin sprawls and moves away.
Orvin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Macias counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Orvin is breathing heavily.
