Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christian Battle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and aj ss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Battle fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. ss sprawls well initially but Battle persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Battle seems to be working for a kimura but ss defends the submission attempt.
ss is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
ss is defending against the submission attempts here by Battle.
ss is trying to maintain the position but Battle is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
ss works his way to full guard. Good work.
ss is trying to keep Battle in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
ss wants to hit a switch here but Battle passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for ss there!

Battle has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

ss manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Battle is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so ss is just riding it out for now. Battle eventually gives up the hold.

ss has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Battle is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for ss.
