The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allan Poe uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lane.

Allan Poe throws a leg kick but Lane sees it coming and moves out of range.

Lane feints and as Allan Poe raises his hands in defense, Lane changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Allan Poe controls Lane momentarily but Lane frees himself.
Lane controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lane wants to control from the top but Allan Poe keeps moving.

Lane has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Allan Poe is desperately trying to improve his position but Lane has a good base and remains in mount.
Lane is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Allan Poe is in real trouble.
