Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Idi Amin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Amin comes to the cage accompanied by Dangerous by Michael Jackson. Lewis has chosen The Butterfly Effect - Sweet and Low as his entrance music. Idi Amin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Justin Lewis's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Idi Amin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Justin Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Amin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lewis, pushing him back against the cage.

Amin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Amin tries to clinch there but Lewis circles away.
Lewis swats away the attempt to clinch by Amin.
Lewis wants to land a leg kick but Amin is out of range.

Amin pushes Lewis up against the cage in a clinch.
Amin keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lewis's efforts to push away.
Lewis drops down looking for an ankle pick but Amin pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lewis looks to score with a jab to the body but Amin is just out of range.
Amin closes the distance looking to clinch
and Lewis counters with a left and a right that stings Amin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Amin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Amin misses with an uppercut. Lewis saw that one coming.
Amin buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Amin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lewis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Amin avoids the body shot from Lewis.

Amin lands a body shot.
Amin closes the distance looking to clinch
and Lewis counters with a straight right hand.
Amin shoots in looking for a takedown but Lewis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Amin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Lewis drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Amin defends it well.
Amin on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Amin gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Idi Amin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lewis has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Amin tries to close the distance and clinch but Lewis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Amin sneaks out the side door and pushes Lewis away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Lewis connects with a body shot that sends Amin's belly button to the back.

Amin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lewis tries a head kick but it misses.

Lewis pushes Amin away with a front kick.
Amin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lewis will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Amin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Amin tries to close the distance and clinch but Lewis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Amin on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Amin swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Lewis.

Amin wants to stand but Lewis has his arm trapped.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lewis throws a jab but it's blocked by Amin.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Idi Amin will probably get the nod.

Amin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lewis as he jumps to the side.


It looks like Idi Amin has been cut.
Lewis keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Amin.
Lewis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Amin circles away quickly and effectively.
Amin's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Amin duly obliges.
Lewis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Amin's corner calls for a 1-2. Amin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Amin tries to clinch up but Lewis circles away and keeps his distance.
Lewis feints the counter takedown.
Amin shoots for a takedown but Lewis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Amin checks a leg kick.

Amin gets a double leg takedown into Lewis's guard.
Amin slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Amin wanted to stand there but Lewis had control of the position.

Amin decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Lewis fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Amin checks it well.
Justin Lewis seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Amin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Amin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Lewis throws a nice looking combination but Amin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Amin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lewis is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Amin with a body shot.
Amin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lewis paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Amin digs a right hand underneath Lewis's ribcage. Lewis let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Lewis is trying to push Amin away but Amin has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Amin is pressed up against the cage. Lewis has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Amin down to the mat. Amin avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Amin's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Justin Lewis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Lewis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Amin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Amin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Amin wants to stand but Lewis has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Amin wants to control from the top but Lewis keeps moving.
Idi Amin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Amin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lewis is proving hard to escape from.

Lewis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Amin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Amin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Amin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lewis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Amin somewhat.
Lewis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lewis sizes up Amin with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Lewis misses with a double jab.
Lewis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lewis misses the shot to the body.

Amin has managed to clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Lewis wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Amin throws an elbow but it's blocked.

And that's the end of the fight!
Justin Lewis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Lewis has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Justin Lewis rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
