The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morris fails in his attempt to clinch.
Morris has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Gentry is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Morris lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gentry backs up against the cage.
Gentry shoots for a takedown but Morris saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Gentry misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Morris.
Gentry sets himself, and Morris steps forward looking for the clinch! Gentry avoids it this time.
A chopping leg kick lands by Gentry.
Morris uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gentry.
Gentry has a takedown stuffed.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gentry looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Morris lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rico Gentry. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Gentry looks to land a left hand but Morris moved out of range nicely.

Morris batters Gentry with a massive right followed by a huge left! Gentry is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Morris lands a final crushing right hand to drop Gentry to the mat with a gruesome thud! Morris is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
