Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masaishii works Peters Jr's body with a nice hook.
Peters Jr shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Masaishii sprawls well. Masaishii wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Peters Jr gets slowly back to his feet.
Masaishii closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Masaishii lands in his opponent's guard.
Masaishii drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Masaishii jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Peters Jr can't keep his opponent in guard - Masaishii advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Peters Jr wants to get back to full guard.

Masaishii is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Peters Jr can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Vinny Peters Jr's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
