Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kendrick Gentry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oswald Nordic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oswald Nordic will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Phil Schofield and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nordic throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Kendrick Gentry has been cut.

Gentry throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nordic was covering up waiting for the punch and Gentry finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Nordic wants to get back to his feet but Gentry passes into half guard.

Nordic is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Gentry decides to stand up.

Gentry has closed the distance and engaged Nordic in a clinch.

Gentry tries for a takedown but Nordic manages to get underhooks.
Gentry could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Gentry might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Nordic is trying to control. Gentry wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Nordic is just content to waste time from the top position. Gentry takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Gentry escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nordic gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Nordic drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gentry looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gentry looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gentry!

Gentry decides to stand back up. Gentry steps back and let's Nordic get back to his feet.
Nordic fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gentry avoids it really well and circles away.
Gentry lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

Nordic changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gentry tries to avoid it but Nordic manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gentry to the ground. Gentry escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gentry instigates a clinch.
Nordic has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Gentry avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Nordic closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gentry to the mat! Gentry manages to get full guard.
Nordic looking to sit in guard and control but Gentry gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Gentry slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Gentry's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Nordic is trying to trip Gentry. He has hold of a leg but Gentry is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Nordic persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Nordic feints a jab promting Gentry to slip. Nordic then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gentry slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kendrick Gentry.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gentry, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
