Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Arden Betancourt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oleg Ljashko!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ljashko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Betancourt swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ljashko wants to clinch.
Ljashko throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ljashko takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Ljashko rushes Betancourt and presses him up against the ropes.
Betancourt tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

It looks like Arden Betancourt has been cut.

Ljashko throws a left that rocks Betancourt and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Ljashko dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Betancourt regain composure!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Betancourt tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ljashko wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Ljashko is looking to take a break and control but Betancourt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Ljashko tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Betancourt's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ljashko connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Betancourt scrambles back to his feet.

Ljashko wants to stand but Betancourt has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Ljashko lands an elbow just above Betancourt 's eye.

Arden Betancourt's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Oh Betancourt is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ljashko creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Betancourt's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Betancourt drops to his knees and Ljashko pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
