Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chip Freedom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freedom comes to the cage accompanied by Star Spangled Banner. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Freedom throws a right and a left that Hughes avoids nicely.

Freedom has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Hughes is on him like a limpet, forcing Freedom back against the cage.

Hughes has Freedom pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hughes pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Freedom tumbling to the mat - Hughes dives into Freedom's guard.

Freedom throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hughes on the side of the head.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hughes crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Freedom - the referee stops the clock and Hughes gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Freedom. Hughes manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
