Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Conor McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mercury Fredd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mercury Fredd was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fredd tries to score a power double leg takedown but McGregor sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fredd somewhat.
Mercury Fredd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fredd jabs McGregor to the body, keeping him at a distance.
McGregor changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fredd looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
McGregor is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Fredd is trying to escape and McGregor transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Fredd is forced to tap! Nice work there by McGregor! Very nice indeed!
