Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mustapha Shiit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Sajjan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sajjan has chosen Doin the Pigeon as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sajjan pushes Shiit away with a front kick.
We've been informed that Sajjan has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Sajjan lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Sajjan throws a looping overhand right but Shiit ducks down to avoid it.
A little feinted left hand from Shiit on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Shiit looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Sajjan tries to keep at a distance but Shiit has taken the fight into the clinch.

Shiit has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Sajjan regains guard immediately.
Shiit is standing up over Sajjan. Sajjan looks to escape but Shiit dives into side control.
Shiit looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Sajjan is avoiding damage well.
Sajjan dodges the ground and pound from Shiit.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sajjan is trying to get back to his feet.
The strikes coming from Shiit are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Sajjan tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Shiit has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sajjan takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sajjan tries to improve position but can't.
The ground and pound from Shiit seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Sajjan struggling a bit here.
Sajjan tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Shiit lands a big shot there that rocks Sajjan but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Sajjan is squirming around, avoiding Shiit's attempts to control the action.
Shiit throwing strikes here but Sajjan is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Sajjan tries to reverse the position but Shiit maintains control.
Sajjan takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Sajjan is working to get back to half guard.
Shiit unloads with some shots from mount but Sajjan bucks and avoids them well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shiit is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sajjan can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Sajjan is rocked!
A big strike lands for Shiit! That's really hurt Sajjan and he's turned his back - Shiit keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Shiit jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
