Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chung Bruce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Arturo Francis!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Francis moves into the clinch successfully.

Francis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Bruce darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Francis scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Bruce manages to mount him!
Francis tries to lock up and control but Bruce gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Francis is looking to improve his position but Bruce isn't that keen on the idea.

Bruce really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Francis takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

BOOM! Bruce connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Francis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bruce. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bruce cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Bruce is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Francis is surviving well by controlling Bruce's body position as best he can.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Bruce shoots for a double leg takedown but Francis sprawls well. He's pushed Bruce's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Francis clobbers Bruce with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Bruce throws a body shot but no joy.
Bruce throws a hook to the side of Francis's head but Francis sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Francis closes the distance and clinches.

Francis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Francis tries a head kick but it misses.
Bruce fails to land the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bruce decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Francis scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Bruce manages to mount him!

Bruce wants to finish this one by submission but Francis is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bruce.
Bruce lands a heavy elbow.
Francis should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Bruce is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Francis can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bruce lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Francis tries to hold on but Bruce pushes him away.
Bruce will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Francis is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Bruce cracks Francis with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
