Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marius Ocento!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ocento tries to keep at a distance but Wong has taken the fight into the clinch.

Wong has Ocento pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Wong pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ocento tumbling to the mat - Wong dives into Ocento's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ocento wants to stand but Wong is controlling the position.
Ocento is trying to keep Wong in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ocento is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Wong is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Ocento controls Wong momentarily but Wong frees himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wong stopping the sweep attempt from Ocento.
Ocento is trying to control the position but Wong postures up.
Wong has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Ocento wants to sweep but no luck.

Ocento has a closed guard, preventing Wong from standing up.
Ocento wants to improve his position but instead Wong has moved into half guard.
Ocento is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Wong trying to control the action but Ocento is working from the bottom.
Wong really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Wong wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ocento keeps working.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Wong is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Wong prevents Ocento from standing back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Wong has Ocento up against the cage in a clinch.

Wong's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Ocento closes the distance and clinches.
Wong tries to throw a body punch but Ocento avoids it by throwing Wong back against the cage.

Ocento has picked Wong up - he's going for a ride! Ocento dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Wong has hold of Ocento's hands but Ocento slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Wong wants to get back to full guard.
Wong is trying to stand up here but Ocento is controlling him well.
Ocento drops an elbow to the side of Wong's head.
Ocento landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.


Wong is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Ocento wants to work for an arm triangle but Wong is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Oh Wong is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ocento is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Wong is hurt! He's hurt bad - Ocento fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Wong from any more punishment! Congratulations to Ocento! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marius Ocento!
