Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arlie Montgomery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Allan Soulbridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soulbridge looks for a takedown but Montgomery sprawls well.
Soulbridge throws a lazy uppercut
and Montgomery counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Soulbridge feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Soulbridge is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Montgomery looking to hit a scissor sweep but Soulbridge is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Soulbridge drops back, looking for a kneebar! Montgomery looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Montgomery looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Montgomery!
Soulbridge tries to bench press Montgomery off him but Montgomery keeps the position.

Soulbridge takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Soulbridge is trying to control Montgomery's posture but Montgomery avoids it.
Soulbridge manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Soulbridge tries to pass to full mount but Montgomery defends it.
Montgomery really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Soulbridge wants to work for an arm triangle but Montgomery is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Montgomery is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Montgomery tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Montgomery has control of Soulbridge's left arm, preventing Soulbridge from doing any damage.
Soulbridge postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Soulbridge drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Montgomery dives on top into guard.
Montgomery has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Soulbridge isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Montgomery stacks Soulbridge on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Montgomery!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Soulbridge wants to control but Montgomery postures up.

Montgomery content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Soulbridge tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Montgomery wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That was a close round but I would say that Arlie Montgomery will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
