Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Haye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Meyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meyer has chosen Genesis - Justice as his entrance music. Marcus Meyer acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcus Meyer!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meyer takes one to the side of the head.
Haye throws a series of punches but Meyer moves out of range.
Haye throws a right hand that Meyer ducks under and follows up with a left that Meyer also avoids with ease.
Meyer missing with a left hand there. Haye was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Meyer swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Haye counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Meyer shoots in for a takedown but Haye shows good takedown defense.

and Haye cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Haye misses with a kick to the body.
Meyer moves out of range as Haye throws a body kick.
Haye shoots in but no luck this time.

Haye tries to keep at a distance but Meyer has taken the fight into the clinch.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Haye lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Haye.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Haye bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Meyer's head.

Haye could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Haye tries to clinch up but Meyer circles away and keeps his distance.

Haye is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Haye works over Meyer's head and body with a nice combination.
Haye tries to close the distance and clinch but Meyer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Meyer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Haye cracks a nice hook into Meyer's ribs.
Haye lands with a nice combination. Meyer backs away looking to recover.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Haye throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Meyer holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Meyer has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Haye avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Meyer is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Haye pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Meyer turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Meyer manages to end up in side control.

Haye is pushing Meyer's head away, looking to escape. Meyer manages to hold on to the position though.

Haye is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Meyer asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

A close second round but Marcus Meyer will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Meyer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Haye with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Meyer is tying to control. Haye wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Meyer gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Meyer seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Marcus Meyer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Meyer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
