Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lyle Dale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ayush Tandon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ayush Tandon has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Lyle Dale's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lyle Dale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ayush Tandon!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dale fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Tandon to the ground. Dale is now in Tandon's guard.

Tandon uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Tandon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tandon wants it to stay on the feet.
Tandon is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

Tandon gets a takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dale striking from half guard on the bottom.
Dale misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Tandon with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dale is staying active underneath Tandon, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Tandon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dale's head.
Dale wants to get back to full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Tandon scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Tandon swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Tandon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tandon misses with a double jab.

Tandon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Dale wants to get back to his feet but Tandon passes into half guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Tandon in particular looking to stall.
Dale moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Tandon missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Tandon is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dale had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tandon defends it easily.

Tandon is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dale is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dale has escaped and now he's on top!

Tandon has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Dale really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dale landing some decent shots from guard.
Tandon is trying to keep Dale in close.
Dale throws a strike but Tandon rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Dale is looking for a triangle here but Tandon uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Dale is not content to let Tandon control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ayush Tandon dominated that round.
That's time! Dale's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Ayush Tandon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dale gets caught flat footed, as Tandon shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Dale dives in and grabs Tandon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tandon pushes down on Dale's head and hops out.

Tandon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dale is trying to defend but Tandon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tandon is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Tandon postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Dale to stand up.
Tandon has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Tandon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Ayush Tandon has got the better of the ground game so far.

Tandon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Tandon wants to control from the top but Dale keeps moving.
Tandon throws a big right hand that misses.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Tandon stands up and waves to Dale to follow him.

Tandon darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Tandon wants to advance to full mount but Dale doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Tandon throws a big elbow that misses.
Dale will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Dale looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Tandon passes into half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tandon missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Tandon is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dale sees it coming and defends easily.

Tandon decides to return to a standing position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Tandon tries a head kick but it misses.
Dale is looking to counter with head kicks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ayush Tandon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Dale looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tandon is fending him off so far but Dale persists. Nope, Tandon circles away and we're back to standing.

Tandon closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dale quickly recovers to half guard.

Tandon stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Tandon closes the distance and pushes Dale back into the cage.
Tandon prevents Dale from breaking the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Dale's face as he tries to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dale breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tandon scores with a hook to the body. Dale takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Tandon shoots in and gets a takedown into Dale's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dale has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tandon is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Dale.
Tandon is staying tight to Dale's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Dale is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Tandon's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Tandon is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Tandon has control of Dale's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dale regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Tandon takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Tandon is trying to take his opponent's back.

Dale swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Tandon trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Tandon controlling the position easily from mount.
Tandon throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Tandon throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dale swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Tandon throws a sloppy strike and Dale uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Dale has ended up in Tandon's guard.

Tandon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dale can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tandon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Dale is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Lyle Dale has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ayush Tandon is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dale throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tandon works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Ayush Tandon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tandon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
