The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gai misses with a combination
and Gai takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Clausen staying out of range there.
Gai connects with a body shot.
Gai throws a poor cross that misses
and Clausen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Clausen showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gai.
Clausen throws a body punch but Gai moves out of range.
Gai bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
The fighters circling - Gai throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Clausen lands a nice shot to the body.

As Gai backs away, Clausen returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Clausen lands a nice uppercut.
Clausen pushes Gai back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Clausen tries to throw a body punch but Gai avoids it by throwing Clausen back against the cage.
Gai scores with a nice hook to the head.

Clausen lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gai backwards.
Gai misses with a short punch on the inside.
Clausen blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Gai scores with a shot to the side of Clausen's head.
Still in the clinch, Clausen scores with a nice short uppercut.
Gai manages to break the clinch.
Clausen swings for the body but Gai moves out of range.
Claus Clausen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gai will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gai tries to clinch there but Clausen circles away.

Gai connects with an inside leg kick.
Clausen fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gai on the side of the head.
Gai tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gai throws a hook to the side of Clausen's head but Clausen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Clausen misses with a low kick.
Clausen digs a good body shot into Gai's ribs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gai gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Gai breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Clausen on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Clausen cracks Gai with an open hand slap.
Gai feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Clausen collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!
