Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mitaka Burzaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remigijus Morkevicius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Remigijus Morkevicius is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mitaka Burzaka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Remigijus Morkevicius!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burzaka throws a one two combo.
Morkevicius lands with a thumping leg kick.
Morkevicius gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Morkevicius has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Morkevicius there as he acknowledges the shot.
Morkevicius tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Burzaka swivels and escapes.
A jab lands there for Burzaka.
Burzaka lands a slapping body shot.
Burzaka scores with a nice right hand.
Morkevicius takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Burzaka moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Burzaka lands a glancing blow to the side of Morkevicius's head.
Morkevicius tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Burzaka defends well and Morkevicius ends up having to push Burzaka into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
The crowd cheers as Burzaka lands an impressive looking overhand right. Morkevicius doesn't seem phased though.
Burzaka scores with a hook.

Morkevicius has managed to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Morkevicius jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Burzaka walks away with a smile on his face. Morkevicius gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mitaka Burzaka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Remigijus Morkevicius.
Burzaka jabs at Morkevicius's body.

Burzaka tries to keep at a distance but Morkevicius has taken the fight into the clinch.
Burzaka jumps guard but Morkevicius stands there with Burzaka around his waist. Burzaka gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Burzaka tries to pull guard but Morkevicius holds him up against the cage and eventually Burzaka drops back down to his feet.

Morkevicius successfully pulls guard.
Morkevicius keeping full guard, as Burzaka tries to pass.
Burzaka passes Morkevicius's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Burzaka wants to lay and pray for a moment but Morkevicius keeps working.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Burzaka performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Burzaka wants to control but Morkevicius is keeping him busy.
Morkevicius really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Burzaka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Burzaka is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Morkevicius defends it well.
Morkevicius wants to improve his position but Burzaka is controlling well.
Burzaka could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Morkevicius moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Burzaka pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Morkevicius is keeping the position for now.
Morkevicius keeping moving, preventing Burzaka from controlling successfully.
Morkevicius looking to control.
Morkevicius is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Morkevicius wants to control the position but Burzaka says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Burzaka is looking to take a break and control but Morkevicius is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Morkevicius is trying to maintain the position but Burzaka is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Burzaka is keen to just control but Morkevicius is a slippery customer.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Burzaka jabs at Morkevicius's body.
Burzaka with a nice cross.
Burzaka thuds a left hand into Morkevicius's body.
Burzaka throws a body punch but Morkevicius moves out of range.
Morkevicius is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Burzaka bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Morkevicius's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mitaka Burzaka dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Burzaka ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Burzaka jabs Morkevicius right on the nose. Morkevicius blinks but takes it well.
Morkevicius is trying hard to land a takedown here. Burzaka sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Burzaka fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Morkevicius has managed to clinch.
Burzaka working hard to break the clinch.

Burzaka pulls guard successfully.

Burzaka looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Morkevicius is defending well. Burzaka quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Morkevicius has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Burzaka celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mitaka Burzaka!
