The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cold fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rodrigo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cold.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rodrigo, right into the meat.

Cold changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Cold has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Rodrigo seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Rodrigo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rodrigo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cold stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Rodrigo misses with an uppercut. Cold saw that one coming.
Cold looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rodrigo is fending him off so far but Cold persists. Nope, Rodrigo circles away and we're back to standing.
Pablo Rodrigo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stone Cold.

Cold drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cold jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Cold escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rodrigo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rodrigo pushes down on Cold's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Cold has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rodrigo is working away from the top position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Rodrigo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Cold on the side of the head.

Cold shoots in looking for a takedown. Rodrigo tries to sprawl out of it but Cold keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rodrigo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Rodrigo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cold looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Cold has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Rodrigo is trying to keep an underhook but Cold manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rodrigo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
