Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Victor Stoic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ez Muney!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Lou da Vinci and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stoic shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Stoic has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Stoic takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Muney jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Muney loads up on a big right hand but Stoic slips the punch.
Muney throws a hook but Stoic avoids it easily.
Stoic appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Stoic's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Muney connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Stoic scrambles back to his feet.
Stoic misses with a takedown attempt - Muney sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Stoic drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Muney has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Stoic off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Muney tries to clinch but Stoic moves out of range.
Muney lands a slapping body shot.
Muney fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
The fighters circle momentarily. Muney darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Some wild striking there from Muney.
Stoic changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Stoic drives through with a takedown into Muney's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Stoic scoring with some ground and pound.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Muney is on top in guard.

Muney won't allow Stoic to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stoic is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Muney presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Muney lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Muney's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Muney wants to clinch.
The fighters circling - Muney throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Muney throws out a loose jab but Stoic uses good head movement to avoid it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Muney throws a looping overhand right but Stoic ducks down to avoid it.
Stoic feinted with a counter takedown.
Muney throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Stoic sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Stoic drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Muney trying to keep a closed guard but Stoic is proving a slippery customer.
Muney utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Stoic trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Stoic is looking to pass into half guard but Muney pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Muney is in guard.

Stoic is looking to stand back up but Muney counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Stoic.

Stoic manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Muney keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Stoic goes for a takedown in the clinch but Muney prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Victor Stoic. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice body punch from Muney.

Muney lands a left hand that snaps the head of Stoic backwards.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Muney.


Stoic is rocked!
Muney working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Oh Stoic is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Muney breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Muney cracks Stoic with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Stoic falls to his knees and Muney doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ez Muney!
