Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Work!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kyle Broflovsky!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Work has taken the fight to the clinch.

Work pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Steven Work seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Work tries for a takedown but Broflovsky circles away easily
and Broflovsky counters with a nice uppercut.
Work throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Broflovsky counter with a right hand.

Work drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Broflovsky told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Work throws a big right hand that misses.
Work works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Work frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Broflovsky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Work. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Work misses with a head shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Broflovsky is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Work lands a big shot there that rocks Broflovsky but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Work looking to control and managing it successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Work is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Broflovsky can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Broflovsky is trying to stand.
Work forces the positional change into back control.
Work has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Work throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Broflovsky!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Work is riding his opponent, not letting Broflovsky buck him off.

Work patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Work slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Work is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Broflovsky has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Even with his hooks in, Work manages to miss with strikes from the back.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Work scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Broflovsky is looking for a way out.

Work has managed to slip his arm under Broflovsky's chin. This could be all over... yep, Broflovsky is tapping out! Submission win for Work.
