Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Patrick Crane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Miagi Suzuki!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suzuki throws a body kick that misses

and Crane counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Crane connects with a nice short shot to Suzuki's temple.
Suzuki wants to get back to his feet.
Suzuki wants to sweep but Crane has passed to side control!
Suzuki striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Suzuki tries to improve position but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Crane prevents Suzuki from escaping the position.
You can see the frustration on Suzuki's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Suzuki looks to move to half guard but instead Crane has passed into mount! Damn!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Suzuki is trying desperately to improve position.
Suzuki tries to improve his position but instead Crane has taken his back!

Suzuki defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Crane's arms.
Suzuki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Crane has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Suzuki is defending well but eventually Crane manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Suzuki has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Patrick Crane!
