PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ultimate Hellbane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Jabber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hellbane comes to the cage accompanied by Barkley, Shut Up And Jam: Gaiden theme. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jim Jabber was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jim Jabber!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jabber connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
A big right from Hellbane misses.
Hellbane slips under a jab from Jabber.
Jabber looks to land a left hand but Hellbane moved out of range nicely.
Jabber will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hellbane lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jabber circles away quickly and effectively.
Jabber buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hellbane shoots in for a double leg but Jabber sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

That was a close round but I would say that Ultimate Hellbane will probably get the nod.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jabber has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Jabber throws a hook but Hellbane blocks it.

Hellbane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ultimate Hellbane was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
