Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gator Raid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raid comes to the ring accompanied by Rio de Janeiro. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Gator Raid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Anthony Head!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Head stuffs the takedown attempt from Raid. Raid gets slowly back to his feet.
Head looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Head ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Raid is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Head.

Raid looks up at the clock and then as Head takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Raid smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Head gets caught flat footed, as Raid shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Head is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Raid can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Head looks to clinch

and Raid counters with a nice double leg into side control. Head won't be happy with that.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Raid changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Head tries to avoid it but Raid manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Head to the ground. Head escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gator Raid is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Gator Raid overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Raid closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Raid lands in his opponent's guard.
Raid wants to control from the top but Head keeps moving.
Raid won't allow Head to sweep him here.
Raid forces his way into half guard.

Raid content to control rather than advance.
Raid wants to take a breather but Head is having none of it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Head on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Raid perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Head wants to improve his position but Raid is controlling well.
Raid looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Head has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Raid is working away from the top position though.
Raid prevents Head from improving his position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Raid looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Head with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Head looks like he's trying to stand up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Raid drives through with a takedown into guard.
Raid controlling from the top position.
Raid seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Head for as long as he can get away with.
Raid wants to control from the top but Head keeps moving.
Anthony Head has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Raid, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
