Marfil comes into a darkened arena with his song building. New Divide kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marfil digs a good body shot into Calvancante's ribs.
Marfil lands a nice looking body shot.
Calvancante shoots for a double leg takedown but Marfil sprawls well. He's pushed Calvancante's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Calvancante looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Marfil is fending him off so far but Calvancante persists. Nope, Marfil circles away and we're back to standing.
Marfil scores with a hook to the body. Calvancante takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Marfil stuffs the takedown attempt from Calvancante. Calvancante gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mauricio Calvancante. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Marfil lands with a nice combination. Calvancante backs away looking to recover.
Calvancante looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Marfil connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Calvancante to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Marfil!
