PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Severn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Souza comes to the cage accompanied by Marcelo D2 - Pode Acreditar (Meu Laiá Laiá). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Souza with that takedown attempt.

Souza gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Severn wants to stand and escape but instead Souza has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Souza wants to get up but he can't break Severn's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Dan Severn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Severn is pushing down on Souza's leg trying to pass to half guard. Souza is fighting to maintain full guard but Severn has managed to sneak the leg through.
Souza tries to roll over but Severn keeps him under control.
Souza is looking to control Severn's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Souza avoid being mounted?

Dan Severn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Severn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
