Putin comes to the cage accompanied by "Ace of Spades" by Motorhead. Schtrappe has chosen Nitzer Ebb - Violent Playground as his entrance music. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putin on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Putin darts in trying to clinch
and Schtrappe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Schtrappe looks to land a right hand but Putin moved out of range.
Putin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Schtrappe.
Putin throws a leg kick
and Schtrappe counters with a straight right hand.
Putin is looking to clinch.
Schtrappe misses with a few strikes there.
Putin is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Schtrappe.
Schtrappe lands the left hand.
Schtrappe throws a low kick, looking for Putin's leg but Putin calmly moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Schtrappe walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Putin checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Putin is looking to counter punch.
Schtrappe misses with a body shot
and Putin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Putin misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Schtrappe counters with a slapping leg kick.
Schtrappe throws a lazy right hand but Putin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Schtrappe clinches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Schtrappe tries to pull guard but Putin holds him up against the cage and eventually Schtrappe drops back down to his feet.
Schtrappe fails to pull guard.

Schtrappe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Schtrappe gets caught flat footed, as Putin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Putin stopping the sweep attempt from Schtrappe.
Putin looking to sit in guard and control but Schtrappe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Putin preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Schtrappe wants to control from the top but Putin keeps moving.

Schtrappe is sitting in close to Putin's body. Putin has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Schtrappe is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Schtrappe is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Putin.
