Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juan Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tonton Hong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velasquez comes to the cage accompanied by Accept's Balls To The Wall. Hong is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hong Entrance Song. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hong steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Velasquez. That one must have hurt.
Hong's coach down at Mandirigmang Pilipino was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hong's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Hong has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Velasquez.
A low kick from Hong is predictable there
and Velasquez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Tonton Hong has been cut.
Hong blocks a head kick by Velasquez.
Hong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A big right from Velasquez misses.
Velasquez throws out a leg kick but Hong moves out of range and Velasquez only half commits.
Velasquez lands with a thumping leg kick.
Hong scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Hong connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hong shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Velasquez pinned against the cage. Velasquez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Velasquez throws a powerful right kick. Hong tried to block low but the kick was high! Hong was taken right off of his feet! Velasquez jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Juan Velasquez!
