Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between john johnston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Tretow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tretow has chosen Days of Thunder as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Dennis Tretow enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

johnston shoots in but no luck this time.
Tretow throws a series of punches but johnston avoids them all with ease.
johnston is looking to clinch but Tretow is avoiding it.

Tretow is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

johnston escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tretow gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Tretow tries to bum rush johnston with a series of wild strikes but johnston uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
johnston feints and then cracks Tretow's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tretow down.

Tretow gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Tretow is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

johnston had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tretow is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. johnston Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tretow's back instead.

Tretow turns into johnston and is now in his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
