Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between James Brewer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Barret (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Brewer has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, James Brewer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jonathan Barret!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barret misses with a takedown attempt - Brewer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Barret shoots for a double leg takedown but Brewer sprawls well. He's pushed Barret's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Brewer throws a right and a left that both miss.
Barret throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Brewer appears to be looking for a big counter.
Barret fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
James Brewer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonathan Barret.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That was a close round but I would say that James Brewer will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Brewer closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Barret's guard.
Barret is looking to stand back up but Brewer counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Barret.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to James Brewer.
I think Brewer has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
