Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ohm Melet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oskar Sodestrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melet comes to the cage accompanied by partingtime. Ohm Melet has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sodestrom stuffs the takedown attempt from Melet. Melet gets slowly back to his feet.
Sodestrom wants to clinch but Melet slips to the side

and Melet counters with a shoot takedown. Sodestrom fights it but they end up in guard.

Melet is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Melet drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Melet jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Sodestrom wants to stand and escape but Melet is having none of it.

Melet drops back looking for a leg! Sodestrom is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sodestrom manages to kick Melet off! Melet jumps back into Sodestrom's guard.

Sodestrom pushes Melet off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sodestrom clinches.

Sodestrom manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Sodestrom lands with an overhand left.
Sodestrom throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Melet stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Sodestrom misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Melet.
Melet throws a big counter combination but Sodestrom scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Sodestrom connects with a looping right hand.

Sodestrom cracks Melet with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Sodestrom has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Melet to stand back up!

Melet is rocked!
Sodestrom lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Melet up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Sodestrom from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Melet's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Oskar Sodestrom!
In defeat, Ohm Melet stepped up to the mic, saying 'thank you fans for the support. I will have revenge...'.
