PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mack Johnstown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Foster comes to the cage accompanied by Wrecking Ball. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Foster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mack Johnstown!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnstown rushes Foster and presses him up against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Johnstown just misses with a elbow thrown towards Foster's brow.

Foster has Johnstown pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Foster pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Johnstown tumbling to the mat - Foster dives into Johnstown's guard.

Foster wants to control from the top but Johnstown keeps moving.

Johnstown escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Foster gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Foster not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Johnstown is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Foster is aware though and is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Foster is in close to Johnstown's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Johnstown working for a triangle but Foster defends it easily.
Foster slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Foster lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Foster with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnstown wants to stand but Foster is controlling the position.

Foster got a little sloppy there for a moment and Johnstown has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Foster has managed to get both his arms back between Johnstown's legs - danger averted.

Johnstown is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Foster is aware though and is defending well.
Foster stands and throws Johnstown's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Johnstown is looking for a sweep.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Foster landing a few strikes.
Johnstown is trying to control Foster's posture but Foster avoids it.

Foster thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Foster looks up at the clock and then as Johnstown takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Foster smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
You can see the frustration on Johnstown's face as Foster controls the position.
Johnstown tries to bench press Foster off him but Foster keeps the position.
Foster connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Johnstown some visible discomfort.
Johnstown is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Johnstown tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Foster wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Johnstown tries to hold on but Foster postures up.
Foster has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Foster wants to finish this one by submission but Johnstown is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Foster.

Foster connects with a bit shot that sees Johnstown covering up! More strikes from Foster and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Foster is our winner by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Foster!
Chris Foster decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
