Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zlatko Zahovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirk Boon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boon comes into a darkened arena with his song building. American Ninja 2 OST - Truckin' kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The key to victory for Zlatko Zahovic has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zahovic pinned against the cage. Zahovic gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Zahovic defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Boon.
An attempted straight right counter from Zahovic misses the target.
Boon closes the distance and clinches up with Zahovic, looking for a takedown. Boon pushes Zahovic against the cage but Zahovic circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Zlatko Zahovic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kirk Boon.
Boon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Zahovic counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Zahovic escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zahovic stuns Boon with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Zahovic is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Boon flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Boon is out cold! Zahovic holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
