Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Musashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Comanche Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Musashi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Sword of the Stranger - Mukoh Hadan. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryu Musashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Comanche Todd!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Musashi throws a right hand that Todd ducks under and follows up with a left that Todd also avoids with ease.
Todd swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Todd looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Musashi throws out a loose jab but Todd uses good head movement to avoid it.
Musashi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Todd.
Todd feints a jab promting Musashi to slip. Todd then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Musashi slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.


It looks like Ryu Musashi has been cut.
Todd keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Musashi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Todd throws out a powerful jab.
Todd scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


Musashi is rocked!
Comanche Todd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Musashi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Todd manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Oh Musashi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Musashi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Todd's guard.
Musashi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Todd does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Musashi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Musashi is working for a kimura but Todd is defending it quite comfortably.

Musashi throws a strike but Todd rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Musashi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Musashi has an active guard here but Todd has managed to pass into half guard.

That's time! Musashi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Todd thuds a left hand into Musashi's body.
Musashi takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Todd stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Musashi.
Todd has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Todd misses with a jab, cross combination.
Comanche Todd seems to be getting the better of the standup.
A looping hook to the body misses from Todd. Musashi does a little dance to reset his feet.
Todd throws an off balance right hand
and Musashi counters with a slapping leg kick.

Musashi connects with a single shot there.
Todd chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Musashi can pounce on him.
Musashi throws a quick inside leg kick.
Musashi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Musashi misses with an attempted mid kick.
Todd misses with a straight right.
Musashi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Todd sees it coming and avoids it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Musashi throws an overhand right that lands on Todd's shoulder, as Todd tries to avoid the shot.
Todd closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Todd throws a right hand that Musashi ducks under and follows up with a left that Musashi also avoids with ease.
Todd ducks right into an uppercut from Musashi.
Todd takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Musashi bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Todd's head backwards.

The fighters circling - Todd throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Musashi appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Todd is still on wobbly legs! Can Musashi finish him?
Todd catches Musashi with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Todd takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Todd seems to have recovered his senses.
Musashi misses with a straight right.
Todd moves out of range of the strikes.
Musashi has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Musashi throws a body punch but Todd moves out of range.
Todd unleashes a big counter combination but Musashi bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Todd looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Todd takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Musashi connects with a single shot there.
Musashi cracks Todd with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Todd moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Musashi shoots in but Todd avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Todd throws a hook but Musashi blocks it.

Comanche Todd is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Todd throws out a counter right but Musashi avoids it with no problem.

Still in the clinch, Musashi scores with a nice short uppercut.

Musashi turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Musashi manages to end up in side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Todd clobbers Musashi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Comanche Todd is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Musashi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Musashi looking to sit in guard and control but Todd gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Musashi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Todd manages to get himself to full guard.


Musashi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Todd manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Musashi has Todd in his guard.

Musashi wants to sweep here but Todd controlling him for the moment.

Musashi seems keen to control Todd's posture.

Musashi has his foot on Todd's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Todd works his way back into a safe position though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Todd is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Todd got a little sloppy there for a moment and Musashi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Todd has managed to get both his arms back between Musashi's legs - danger averted.
Musashi has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Musashi wants to improve his position but instead Todd has moved into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ryu Musashi.
I think Musashi has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
