Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mamed Gamrot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gamrot changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Palmer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Gamrot decides to stand back up. Gamrot steps back and let's Palmer get back to his feet.
Gamrot fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Palmer avoids it really well and circles away.
Gamrot fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Gamrot changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Palmer tries to avoid it but Gamrot manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Palmer to the ground. Palmer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mario Palmer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mamed Gamrot.

Gamrot closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Palmer did well to prevent Gamrot getting side control.

Gamrot's coach down at Canadian Dragon MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gamrot's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

After winning the bout, Mario Palmer thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
In defeat, Mamed Gamrot stepped up to the mic, saying 'Im gonna go back to the drawing board see what went wrong and try and improve and get that W out here next time maybe a Knockout'.
