Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jed Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Zurita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samuel Zurita will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zurita throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Adams was covering up waiting for the punch and Zurita finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Zurita trying to control but Adams is working from the bottom.
Zurita must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Adams seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Zurita stands up and waves to Adams to follow him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Adams drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Zurita manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Adams has Zurita in his guard.

Zurita has gone for a leg lock! Adams slips out almost immediately though and dives into Zurita's guard.

Adams is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Zurita's half guard.

Zurita feints and as Adams raises his hands in defense, Zurita changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Zurita closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Adams quickly recovers to half guard.

Zurita feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well Zurita has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
