The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Tepes as Wilson shoots in.
Tepes is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Wilson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tepes to the mat! Tepes manages to get full guard.
Tepes is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Wilson dives into side control.

Wilson is looking to take a break and control but Tepes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Wilson stands up and beckons Tepes to his feet.
Wilson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tepes.
Wilson is looking for a counter combo.
Tepes slaps away a takedown attempt from Wilson, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Wilson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tepes's guard.
Tepes wants to get back to his feet but Wilson passes into half guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wilson in particular looking to stall.
Wilson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tepes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
