Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carrol Randolph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Javier Tascon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tascon clinches up with Randolph and pushes him back against the cage.

Tascon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Tascon takes the fight into the clinch.

Tascon manages to break the clinch.
Tascon leaves Randolph with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tascon tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Tascon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Randolph moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tascon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Randolph pushes Tascon off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Tascon takes the fight into the clinch.
Randolph jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tascon walks away with a smile on his face. Randolph gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carrol Randolph. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Tascon clinches up with Randolph and pushes him back against the cage.
Randolph tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Randolph blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Tascon ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tascon no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Tascon wants to sweep but no luck.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tascon can do anything to dispel that myth.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Randolph accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Randolph is looking to stand up but Tascon isn't so interested in that idea.

Randolph working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tascon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tascon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Tascon postures up in Randolph's guard and throws a big left but Randolph blocks it.
Tascon keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Randolph's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tascon is in close to Randolph's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Tascon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Tascon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Randolph. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tascon lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Oh Randolph is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tascon arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Randolph's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
